*.refx and *.refx2 files

REFX

Refx files are XML-based and allow you to define externally aggregated areas. This can be useful if aggregates that change frequently are defined in another system.

When a Refx base map is inserted into EasyMap, the layers offer the same settings and capabilities as layers inserted on LTG-based map bases.

Note: An alternative to Refx files are territory organizations that are remotely controlled by linked data. Here, the successor format Refx2 can be used to reuse such aggregate maps.

When displaying the map folder in EasyMap Xplorer, note that layers that are based on Refx base maps cannot be displayed in EasyMap Xplorer. Read more about this in the section Display Differences Between EasyMap and EasyMap Xplorer.

REFX2 (Own Structures)

The EasyMap DistrictManager Edition enables you to create your own structures as a digital map and to have them available for further evaluations and individual maps.

To do this, you can execute the Export... command in the Territory organization structure menu (or directly as a context menu item for the corresponding level in the territory organization control window). The territory organization is created for you as a file (*.refx2).

In addition to the option of using the structure as a digital map independently of the data, you can also import it again. After the import, the imported structure can be changed and re-exported.

If the structure should not be changed, you can drag it onto the sheet in control window Base Maps like a "normal" base map (per Drag&Drop) and fill it with data.

For the display of the map folder in the EasyMap Xplorer, note: Layers based on Refx2 base maps cannot be displayed in the EasyMap Xplorer. Read more about this in the section display differences between EasyMap and EasyMap Xplorer.
