Planning alternatives

All levels from a territory structure can be used on all sheets and in all maps of the workbook, which contains the definition of the territory structure. For example, on sheet 1 you can create the map that will be used for planning the areas, while on sheets 2 and 3 different analyses based on the planned areas will be displayed. On sheet 4 you can create an export sheet with different visibility and content.

Copy Territory Structure

A territory structure can be copied and pasted into the same or a different workbook. The commands for Copy and Insert of territory structures can be found in the context menu of the control window Territory organization. Please note that a complete territorial structure (i.e. no single level) with description and structural data is always copied and pasted. However, the inserted structure initially only appears in the control window territory organization, but not in the map. If layers from the newly inserted territory structure are to be displayed in a map, they must be inserted on the desired sheet using Drag&Drop.

Different sales divisions with the same overall regional structure

If you are planning territories for a new distribution chain and want to use the superior regional structure of an existing distribution chain, you can do this by choosing Copy and Insert. Proceed as follows:

• Enter the existing distribution chain including the higher-level regional structure.
• Then copy the territory structure and paste it into the same workbook or another workbook.
• To be able to freely plan the areas for the new distribution chain and still ensure that the higher-level regional structure remains unchanged, you should activate Area protection for all areas at the higher level (for example, for all regions) (see Stocks).
